These are the perfect size, drinking straws for our own reusable cups or any other cup, mug or short glass (yes, cocktail glasses too!). What you receive is 4 bent straws, 2 straight straws, 2 cleaning brushes to knock out any debris and a canvas bag to take them with you on your travels. Totally dishwasher safe, these make perfect gifts for your eco-minded friends.
Why make the switch to metal straws?
Environmentally friendly – because the vast majority (around 85%) of stainless steel is made using around 50% scrap metal, this reduces the need to mine for more virgin materials thus, saving water, fuel and protecting local environments from further degradation.
Reusable – under normal use conditions, you should be able to use and re-use your straws for the rest of your life and perhaps even pass them on to your kids and grandkids!
Recyclable – like all stainless steel, these straws can be recycled without ever losing material quality. Tip: keep a little box in a storage cupboard and fill it with stainless steel items. When this box is full or if you are going to your local Council recycling centre, take the box with you and recycle the contents so they can be melted down and made into something new.
Safe – stainless steel doesn’t leach chemicals and doesn’t react with the liquids you consume. Because these straws are so easy to clean, they are the healthiest, most convenient and eco-friendly straw choice for the whole family.
Care
Super simple to look after, just rinse after use and pop into your dishwasher cutlery tray. If using with smoothies, we recommend using the cleaning brush to dislodge any lumps which might have got stuck under running water before placing in the dishwasher, this will prevent any unpleasant surprises the next time you use your straw!

Is the bru Ceramic Travel Mug leakproof?
Yes, 100% leakproof when the lid is closed. The lid has a visible indentation line that only shows when fully sealed, so you know it's safe to throw in a bag.
Is the ceramic coating safe?
Yes, and we've gone further than most to prove it. We sent our actual bru Travel cups to SGS, one of the world's leading independent testing and certification bodies, for full third-party safety testing. They tested the complete cup including the ceramic coating, the stainless steel beneath, the lid and the silicone seals.
The ceramic coating passed full EU heavy metal migration testing (Council of Europe Resolution CM/Res(2013)9) at 100°C with an acidic simulant, with no detectable migration of any of the 21 metals tested, including lead, cadmium, nickel, chromium, mercury and arsenic.
The stainless steel beneath was tested at 19.8% chromium content, exceeding the FDA minimum of 16% for food-grade stainless. The lid and silicone components passed FDA 21 CFR food contact testing too.
So whether your coating is fully intact or has a small scratch, every surface that touches your drink has been independently tested and certified safe.
How long does it keep drinks hot?
Up to 8 hours hot, up to 12 hours cold. Performance depends on size, with the 16oz holding heat longest.
Will it fit in my car cup holder?
Yes. All three bru travel sizes (8oz, 12oz, 16oz) are designed to fit standard car cup holders, plus bike handle holders and rucksack side pockets.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
The lid is top rack dishwasher safe. The cup itself should be hand washed with warm soapy water to protect the external powder coating.
